EXPO 2027 Belgrade promotes Serbian tourism at WTM London
Organizers of the 2027 Belgrade specialized exhibition are showcasing Serbian tourism assets at the World Travel Market in London to prepare for the upcoming event.

Representatives of EXPO 2027 Belgrade are attending the World Travel Market (WTM) in London from November 3 to 5, 2026, to position the upcoming exhibition as a catalyst for national tourism. The 93-day event, scheduled for mid-2027, is expected to draw over four million visitors, prompting authorities to coordinate with international tour operators to build integrated itineraries.
EXPO 2027 Belgrade director Igor Kovačević stated that the exhibition aims to serve as a gateway to the country's broader cultural and geographical offerings, including the Danube region and western Serbia's traditional villages. The strategy focuses on encouraging visitors to combine their exhibition attendance with trips to cities like Novi Sad and historical sites such as the Golubac fortress.
Official data indicates a positive momentum for the sector, with 3.13 million tourist arrivals recorded in Serbia between January and August 2026, representing a 6.5 percent increase year-over-year. British visitor interest has also trended upward, with an 8.7 percent increase in overnight stays during the same period. The specialized expo will run from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme 'Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.'
