Officials representing EXPO 2027 Belgrade presented the country's tourism infrastructure to international partners at this year’s World Travel Market (WTM) in London. The specialized exhibition, scheduled for May 15 to August 15, 2027, is expected to draw over four million visitors to the Serbian capital, marking the first time the region hosts such an event.

The initiative aims to extend the economic benefits of the exposition by encouraging visitors to explore locations beyond Belgrade, including the Novi Sad region, the Fruška Gora wine district, and the Danube Gorge. By promoting integrated travel packages, organizers hope to sustain tourism momentum beyond the three-month event window.

Serbia's tourism sector has reported consistent growth throughout 2026. Data from the first eight months of the year indicates a 6.5% increase in total tourist arrivals, reaching 3.13 million. Notably, overnight stays by visitors from the UK grew by 8.7% during the same period, signaling strengthened interest from the British market.
