EY and Watershed form alliance for sustainability reporting
EY and sustainability AI company Watershed have formed an alliance to help organizations measure and report on their environmental impact.
The EY organization announced on October 12, 2026, an alliance with Watershed, an AI company focused on ESG measurement and reporting. The collaboration aims to assist organizations in measuring and reporting their environmental impact with greater confidence, efficiency, and transparency.
The alliance combines Watershed's AI platform with EY US's expertise in sustainability advisory, implementation, and program management. The goal is to help organizations meet regulatory requirements as well as customer and investor expectations. The complex methodologies for measuring emissions, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gases, require accurate data collection and reporting.
Together, EY US and Watershed will offer comprehensive solutions covering audit-ready data collection, emissions calculations, product carbon footprinting, reporting, and sustainability advisory services. This will help companies support their decarbonization initiatives and enhance their regulatory readiness.
Derek Przybylo, EY-Watershed Alliance Leader at EY US, emphasized that the alliance helps organizations move from sustainability goals to measurable actions. Watershed CEO Christian Anderson added that sustainability work is becoming more automated and action-oriented, and this alliance pairs Watershed's data foundation with EY's experience in guiding organizational change.
