EyePoint Pharmaceuticals Reports 2024 Financials and Clinical Progress
EyePoint Pharmaceuticals announced its fourth quarter and full-year 2024 financial results and highlighted progress in the development of DURAVYU for retinal diseases.
WATERTOWN, Mass. – EyePoint Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: EYPT) has released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2024. The company focuses on developing and commercializing innovative therapeutics for patients with serious retinal diseases.
In addition to the Q4 and full-year 2024 financial outcomes, EyePoint reported significant advancements in the clinical development of its drug DURAVYU. The company announced that its Phase 3 clinical trials, LUGANO and LUCIA, for wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) are progressing ahead of schedule. The LUGANO trial has exceeded 50% enrollment, and patient recruitment for the LUCIA trial is also ahead of projections. Positive outcomes from DURAVYU's use in treating diabetic macular edema (DME) were also presented.
EyePoint's cash and investments totaled $371 million as of December 31, 2024. This provides the company with a cash runway extending into 2027, beyond the expected timeline for top-line data from the DURAVYU Phase 3 wet AMD trials in 2026.
The company also presented positive 24-week results from the VERONA trial evaluating DURAVYU for DME, which met primary and secondary endpoints. These results suggest DURAVYU's potential to redefine current treatment paradigms for two prevalent eye conditions.
