Cybersecurity firm F-Secure has introduced a new resource, the Scam Encyclopedia, which catalogues more than 50 distinct types of online scams. The resource aims to explain fraudulent schemes from the victim's perspective and track emerging forms of cybercrime.

Developed by F-Secure's Threat Intelligence team, the encyclopedia draws on decades of research and collected threat data. It provides a comprehensive overview of both established scamming methods and new, evolving trends in online criminal activity.

The encyclopedia's objective is to equip consumers and businesses with the understanding and tools necessary to identify and defend against various fraudulent attempts. F-Secure states it will continuously update the database to keep pace with the rapidly changing landscape of cyber threats.

Through this launch, F-Secure seeks to enhance public awareness of online scams and the risks associated with falling victim to them. The Scam Encyclopedia is accessible via the company's website.
