FACC AG Exceeds Half Billion Euro Revenue Mark in 2013/14

Aerospace supplier FACC AG announced its financial results for the 2013/14 fiscal year, showcasing significant growth that pushed its revenue past the EUR 500 million mark for the first time. The company's revenue increased by 26% to EUR 546.5 million, marking a key milestone. Operating profit before interest and taxes (EBIT) also hit a record high, rising by 19% to EUR 42.5 million.

The strong performance was attributed to a positive environment within the aviation industry and increased deliveries of civil aircraft. All three of FACC's divisions – Aerostructures, Engines & Nacelles, and Interiors – experienced positive development. The Aerostructures division saw the most substantial growth, with revenue jumping 39%.

FACC invested EUR 100.7 million in expanding its production facilities and technological capabilities, including the construction of a new technology center. Research and development expenses remained high at EUR 54.2 million, representing 9.9% of revenue, with a focus on fundamental research and new project engineering.

The company's workforce expanded by 24.7% to 2,963 employees. FACC anticipates continued growth in the upcoming fiscal year, projecting a more moderate single-digit percentage increase in both revenue and profit, supported by a substantial order backlog.
