FACC AG expands Croatian production facility with EUR 36 million investment

Aerospace component manufacturer FACC AG has significantly expanded its production facility in Jakovlje, Croatia. The company invested EUR 36 million in the expansion, which triples the production area at the Jakovlje site. The expansion aims to meet the strong growth and increasing production demands of the aviation industry in the coming years.

The expansion has made the Jakovlje plant FACC's largest production site outside of Austria, now employing over 500 people. The facility is a key part of FACC's international manufacturing network and is being positioned as a center of excellence for aircraft cabin interior production. The plant features new technologies, including a fully automated paint shop.

FACC is preparing for significant growth in the aerospace sector, driven by a strong order backlog for aircraft and an expectation that the global fleet will nearly double by 2045. The company plans to invest approximately EUR 350 million in new technologies and the expansion of its global production sites by 2030.

The company is also increasing production capacity at other locations, such as its site in St. Martin, Austria, where the capacity for structural components will be doubled. These efforts will support production for existing aircraft programs and new customer projects, while enhancing overall operational efficiency.
