FACC AG Expands into Aircraft Repair and Maintenance Services
FACC AG, a manufacturer of aerospace components, is extending its business activities into repair and maintenance (MRO) services for civil aviation. The company has established a new facility in Wichita, USA, to bolster its global presence in this sector.

FACC AG, a specialist in the development and production of composite components and systems for the aviation industry, is expanding its service portfolio to include maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities within civil aviation. The company will offer tailored services for the maintenance and repair of components and systems to airlines and other MRO providers.
To enhance its global reach in the repair and maintenance sector, FACC has established a new operational site in Wichita, USA, in addition to its primary facility in Austria. This move positions FACC as one of the few manufacturers in the aerospace supply chain that also provides comprehensive MRO services, leveraging over 25 years of expertise in composite technology.
The company highlights its existing long-standing relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as a significant advantage over service-only providers. FACC states it can utilize the proven performance of OEM supply chains to deliver more economical and faster maintenance solutions. The integrated infrastructure in both Austria and the USA is intended to support maintenance activities on structural components for wings, tail units, engines, and aircraft cabins.
FACC has secured necessary certifications, including Part 145 approvals from EASA, TCCA, and FAA, along with design organization approval (EASA Part 21-J). The company emphasizes its capability to independently develop and approve repair and modification designs beyond standard limitations. The new subsidiary in Wichita, FACC Solutions Inc., which began operations in 2014, is part of FACC's strategy to increase customer proximity and strengthen its global service network, aiming for improved efficiency and cost optimization.
