FACC invests EUR 120 million in new high-tech plant in Austria
Aerospace component manufacturer FACC AG is building a new, EUR 120 million high-tech plant in St. Martin, Austria. The investment aims to double production capacity and create up to 300 new jobs.

FACC AG, a manufacturer of aerospace components, announced a EUR 120 million investment to construct a new high-tech facility in St. Martin, Upper Austria. The expansion is driven by increasing demand for large structural components for passenger aircraft, and it is expected to double the production capacity at the St. Martin site.
The new 20,000 square meter plant is part of FACC's broader strategy, which includes a total investment of EUR 350 million by 2030 in new technologies and global site expansions. The facility will focus on producing elements such as elevators and ailerons, and will also house a dedicated research area for developing future manufacturing processes and technologies for next-generation commercial aircraft.
Construction is slated to begin at the end of 2026, with the plant scheduled to become operational by mid-2028. The new facility will be directly connected to FACC's existing Plant 3. The company cited the site's existing R&D and testing infrastructure, alongside its skilled workforce, as key factors in the decision to expand in Upper Austria.
The plant will feature a high degree of automation and the integration of artificial intelligence, aimed at enhancing efficiency and maintaining competitiveness. This investment is expected to support FACC's growth projections until 2030 and necessitate the hiring of approximately 300 new employees for the expanded operations.
