Austrian aerospace component manufacturer FACC AG has officially opened its new Technology Center and Engineering Test Center in St. Martin, Upper Austria. The new 500-workplace office building was completed after a 14-month construction period and will serve as the hub for the company's global research and development activities. Also inaugurated was the new Engineering Test Center, one of the most modern facilities for the analysis, testing, and certification of composite materials and components.

Attendees at the opening included customers, suppliers, and business partners from around the world, as well as political and business figures. Michael Strugl, State Minister of Economic Affairs, praised FACC's technical progress and its secure future potential as a global supplier to the aviation industry, calling it a flagship company characterized by high innovation and a strong regional employer.

Walter Stephan, CEO of FACC AG, stated that the new centers support the company's 'Vision 2020' strategy to consolidate its position as a leading supplier of technologically advanced lightweight constructions. The investment is a commitment to the Upper Austrian location, where FACC currently employs 2,400 people and plans to create approximately 100 additional jobs in the coming months due to high orders and steady growth.
