Austrian aerostructures manufacturer FACC AG is expanding its winglet business by supplying fuel-saving "Blended Winglets" to multiple business jets. New agreements will see FACC provide winglets for Dassault Aviation's Falcon 900LX and 2000LX models, as well as for Aviation Partners Inc.'s Hawker 800.

The contracts cover winglet sets for a total of 500 business jets, including retrofit winglets for existing Falcon 2000 aircraft. The cooperation with Dassault Aviation marks FACC's entry as a new customer for the aircraft manufacturer.

The winglets improve aircraft aerodynamics by reducing wingtip vortices, resulting in a 5 to 7 percent reduction in fuel consumption and emissions. This also contributes to lower operating costs, improved takeoff performance, reduced engine maintenance, and decreased noise.

FACC has an established partnership with Boeing, supplying winglets for 737 and 757 models. These new contracts strengthen FACC's position as a competency center for winglets and broaden its customer base to include Dassault Aviation.
