Facilis Technology Boosts Network Performance and Security

Facilis Technology is set to demonstrate significant workflow advancements at NAB Show New York 2026, featuring its HUB version 8.4 software. The updates focus on accelerating network performance, adding cloud-based SSO authentication, and ensuring seamless integration with Avid Media Composer 2026.8.

The HUB 8.4 release introduces Multi-Socket and Multi-Link technologies designed to eliminate network bottlenecks. Multi-Socket allows for full saturation of 10Gb and 25Gb Ethernet connections on a single port without switch configuration, while Multi-Link combines two Ethernet cables into a single high-bandwidth pipe, doubling workstation throughput.

Enhanced security features are also included in HUB 8.4. Cloud SSO and OAuth authentication enable integration with cloud identity management providers, supporting multi-factor authentication (MFA) and conditional access. A "Lockdown Mode" aims to protect server file systems directly from the host OS, preventing unauthorized access and malware.

The FastTracker 3.8.6 software receives updates for improved metadata management and search capabilities, including AI-driven indexing and content tagging, making large media archives more searchable. Facilis will be showcasing these innovations at the NAB Show New York 2026, held at the Javits Center.
