Facilis Technology Enhances Avid Media Composer 2026.8 Enterprise Workflows
Facilis Technology announced optimized support for Avid Media Composer 2026.8 Enterprise, enhancing project sharing and data transfer speeds for creative teams.

Facilis Technology has announced full, optimized support for Avid Media Composer 2026.8 Enterprise. The company is providing enhanced capabilities through its HUB family of servers, including seamless project sharing, an integrated FastTracker interface, and high-speed Ethernet connectivity designed for teams upgrading to the latest version.
Facilis HUB shared storage solutions now offer fully qualified support for Avid's collaborative shared projects and bin locking. This feature allows multiple editors and artists to work simultaneously within the same project while ensuring data integrity and security. According to Facilis, version 8.4 includes technologies like Multi-Socket and Multi-Link Ethernet, promising significant productivity gains for Avid workgroups.
New features also include the FastTracker MAM plug-in, enabling editors to search and preview media directly from within their NLE environment, reducing the need to exit Avid Media Composer for media management tasks. Furthermore, Multi-Socket and Multi-Link Ethernet technologies allow for up to 100% saturation on 10Gb and 25Gb ports, ensuring smooth editing of high-resolution multi-cam footage without dropped frames.
Facilis also states that its Smart Access Rules policy engine provides dynamic file system rules to protect critical folders and files. This includes features like 'no-delete' rules at the file type level and easy folder-level access control.
The company will showcase these enhanced Avid Media Composer 2026.8 workflows at NAB Show New York 2026 in October.
