Facteus, a provider of economic intelligence derived from U.S. consumer transaction data, has announced its insights are now available on the Bloomberg Terminal via ALTD <GO>. This expansion broadens the alternative data sources accessible to investment professionals, enabling deeper company and market analysis.
The integration allows investors to monitor consumer spending patterns in near real-time and validate them against company-specific key performance indicators. The service offers a 14-day lagged view of revenue trends, updated daily. Certain buy-side firms with direct entitlements through Facteus can access a two-day lagged version with additional granularity.
Chris Marsh, CEO at Facteus, emphasized the significance of timely consumer spending data. "Consumer spending accounts for roughly two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, yet much of the data investors rely on to track it has historically arrived weeks or months after the fact," Marsh stated.
Richard Lai, Global Head of Company Financial and Alternative Data at Bloomberg, noted that Facteus data provides a valuable lens into consumer behavior and helps validate trends. Facteus sources its data from anonymized transactions and validates it daily against official economic indicators.
