Dutch technology company Fairphone is reportedly preparing to launch a new modular smartphone, the Fairphone 6+. Recent information, first shared by Dutch tech outlet "nieuwemobiel", includes renderings and details about the upcoming device.
The Fairphone 6+ appears to retain the external design of its predecessor, the Fairphone 6. The primary upgrade focuses on internal specifications, with RAM increasing from 8GB to 12GB. The phone will be available in three color options: Cobalt Blue, Horizon Black, and Forest Green.
Continuing Fairphone's commitment to modularity and repairability, the Fairphone 6+ will offer three new accessories. These include a "Finger Loop" made from recycled materials for easier handling, a "Protective Case" designed to work with other modular components, and a "Card Holder" capable of storing up to three cards with a quick-release mechanism.
These accessories align with Fairphone's mission to extend device lifespan and reduce electronic waste, emphasizing their dedication to ethical sourcing and sustainable manufacturing practices.
