Modular consumer electronics brand Fairphone today launched its new generation modular smartphone, the Fairphone (Gen. 6+). This is also the brand's first product to be officially sold in the US market.

The Fairphone (Gen. 6+) is built with 12 easily replaceable parts and boasts IP55 dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD 810H drop protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 mobile platform and features 12GB of RAM for the first time, paired with 256GB of internal storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD.

Many specifications align with the previous Fairphone (Gen. 6), including a 6.31-inch FHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED display. The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera. The removable 4415mAh battery is rated for over 1000 cycles (retaining 80% capacity) and supports 30W peak charging.

The device comes pre-installed with Android 16 and is guaranteed 7 years of software updates, including 6 major Android version upgrades, and a 5-year warranty. Over 50% of the phone's body is constructed from fair or recycled materials, achieving a new series low of 30kg CO2e carbon footprint.

The Fairphone (Gen. 6+) is available in Forest Green, Horizon Black, and Cobalt Blue color options with a suggested retail price of $649/€649. Fairphone also previewed the Fairbuds 2 earbuds, expected in Q4 2026.
