Fairway Home Mortgage Launches Fairway SAFE to Aid Seniors
Fairway Home Mortgage has launched Fairway SAFE, a new nonprofit initiative aimed at protecting seniors from financial exploitation through education and advocacy. The launch included a national webinar.

Fairway Home Mortgage has introduced Fairway SAFE (Senior Advocacy & Financial Education), a new nonprofit initiative designed to assist older adults and their families in recognizing, preventing, and responding to financial scams and exploitation. The program offers educational resources and advocacy to help seniors identify and counter deceptive practices.
As older adults are increasingly targeted by sophisticated financial fraud schemes, including social engineering, impersonation, and investment scams, Fairway SAFE aims to provide a reliable source of information. The initiative seeks to raise financial awareness and offer support to prevent individuals from becoming victims.
"Financial security is about more than protecting assets—it's about protecting confidence, independence, and peace of mind," stated Janet Koopman, President of Fairway SAFE. "Our mission is to give seniors and their families the knowledge and resources they need to recognize potential threats, ask questions without fear, and make informed financial decisions."
To officially launch the program, Fairway SAFE hosted a webinar on July 29 titled "Stay Safe: Protecting Yourself from Scams & Financial Abuse," featuring fraud expert Steven J. J. Weisman. The organization plans to expand its offerings through additional webinars, community partnerships, and educational materials.
