Fanatics launches leaguewide NHL special-edition jersey program

Sports merchandise firm Fanatics has unveiled "Hometown Remix," a program featuring 32 distinct, custom-designed jerseys for every team in the National Hockey League. Each jersey incorporates specific colors, fonts, and symbols intended to represent the history and culture of the team’s host city.

This marks Fanatics' first leaguewide jersey initiative since becoming the NHL's official uniform partner in 2024. According to Dom Fillion, vice president of creative design at Fanatics, the designs were developed through collaborative workshops with each organization to identify themes that resonate with local fanbases. The project follows a series of consumer surveys that indicated significant interest in a league-wide uniform program.

The launch was preceded by a series of social media teases from individual clubs. Organizations such as the Boston Bruins utilized elaborate marketing campaigns, including the invention of a fictional university, to build fan anticipation prior to the formal reveal.

The jerseys are scheduled to debut on the ice beginning November 2. The corresponding apparel line is currently available through the Fanatics online network and official team retail outlets.
