Fashion brands owner investigates cyber security incident

TFG London, the owner of fashion brands Hobbs, Whistles, and Phase Eight, announced on Sunday that it is investigating a cyber security incident. The company confirmed the breach "specifically impacting our Phase Eight, Hobbs, and Whistles brands".

According to TFG London, while its physical stores are operating normally, some website functionalities may be unavailable. The retailer has informed customers via email that payment information is not believed to have been affected. The company is working to determine if any customer personal information was compromised and will notify individuals directly if their data was impacted.

Cyber security experts highlight that major fashion retailers are frequent targets. "No organisation is immune," said Beverley Griffiths, a senior lecturer at Bucks New University, advising customers to remain vigilant and wary of suspicious communications.

Separately, H&M confirmed it is investigating claims of a hack by a group known as ShinyHunters, previously linked to significant breaches. The company stated it has not yet found indications that its data environment has been compromised but continues to investigate.
