New York – The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), part of the State University of New York, has launched a new public programming initiative titled 'FIT Future//Forward Conversations.' The series will host prominent individuals who are shaping the global creative industries, addressing significant changes across fashion, design, business, technology, and culture.
The 'FIT Future//Forward' initiative aims to position the college as a key hub for creative careers and business. These free events, open to the public, are designed to provide insights and foster discussion. Initial speakers and participants announced for October and November include Felita Harris, executive director of RAISEfashion; Ronnen Harary, co-founder of Spin Master; and Ewa Abrams, president of Kering Americas. Conversations will also involve figures from publications like Vogue.
Future guests will include Vanessa Friedman, fashion director for The New York Times, and interior designer Corey Damen Jenkins, among others. The events will be held at FIT's campus in New York and will be livestreamed, with recordings available online. Registration and further details can be found on the FIT website.
