Fashion Marketplace Myntra Reports ₹582 Crore Loss for FY26

Myntra reported a net loss of ₹581.8 crore for the financial year 2026, contrasting with the net profit of ₹546.3 crore recorded in the previous fiscal. Operating revenue for the Bengaluru-based e-commerce firm fell to ₹5,242.5 crore, down from ₹6,063.8 crore in FY25, largely driven by a 53.2% collapse in revenue from logistics and shipping services.

Despite the decline in top-line revenue, total expenses remained relatively flat at ₹5,757.7 crore. The firm's largest expenditure category was advertising and promotion, which increased by 10.5% to ₹2,326.5 crore, accounting for over 40% of total spending. Conversely, direct expenses, including payment gateway and logistics charges, decreased by 13.9%.

Myntra, an arm of the Walmart-backed Flipkart Group, has recently undergone leadership changes, including the appointment of a new head for its fashion marketplace and a new chief technology officer. While the parent group reported an overall consolidated revenue increase, Myntra's performance reflects the ongoing challenges in maintaining margins amidst shifting service revenue streams and competitive marketing expenditures.
