Fashion platform SHEIN receives Chinese filing notice for Hong Kong listing

SHEIN Global Holdings Limited, the entity behind the global fashion e-commerce platform SHEIN, has received a filing notice from China's securities regulator, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), regarding its proposed listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The notice, dated July 10, was issued based on materials submitted through the company's mainland operating arm, Guangzhou Shein International Import & Export Co., Ltd.

The filing relates to a proposed issuance of up to 341.613 million ordinary shares for listing overseas. It is important to note that this notice does not signify the completion of the Hong Kong listing. The CSRC requires the company to report the offering within 15 working days after its completion and to update the filing if the listing is not completed within 12 months.

This development marks a significant step in SHEIN's ongoing efforts to pursue a public listing in Hong Kong. The company has rapidly grown its global presence within the fast-fashion sector, competing on price and trend-driven product offerings.
