FAUN to Manufacture Electric JUNGO 3.0 Sweeper

FAUN Viatec GmbH, part of the international FAUN Group, has signed a strategic production cooperation agreement with Swiss company ICEE JUNGO AG.

Under the agreement, FAUN Viatec will commence production of the all-electric JUNGO 3.0 compact sweeper at its facility in Grimma, Germany, starting in autumn 2023. This move marks the entry of FAUN Group's Cleaning Division into the compact sweeper market. FAUN Viatec's existing portfolio includes larger, mounted sweepers with a permissible total weight of up to 26 tons.

The JUNGO 3.0 is an environmentally friendly machine in the 3.5-ton class. FAUN Viatec anticipates synergies with other brands within the group's Cleaning Division, such as VALAIR and TROMBIA. ICEE JUNGO AG will continue to lead the development and sales of the JUNGO 3.0 in Switzerland, with the sweeper being marketed in the DACH region and across Europe.

Tim Collet, Managing Director of FAUN Viatec GmbH, stated that the cooperation with JUNGO not only complements their product range but also underscores FAUN's commitment to advancing alternative drives in the municipal sector. The JUNGO 3.0 was first introduced at the IFAT trade fair in May 2022, gaining attention for its innovative battery and drive concept, and its favorable CO2 footprint.

FAUN Viatec is a subsidiary of KIRCHHOFF Ecotec, the environmental division of the global KIRCHHOFF Group. The new production plant in Grimma, which received a €20 million investment, was inaugurated in spring 2023. The facility employs 140 specialists and is designed to produce 500 sweepers and kits annually.
