FAW Pentium has unveiled official images of its new five-seater "Pentium Pony" electric car, designed for urban short-distance travel. The vehicle has begun arriving at dealerships and is slated for market release by the end of October.

Compared to the previous two-door version, the new model features significant upgrades in its dimensions. The car measures 3350mm in length, 1540mm in width, and 1600mm in height. The wheelbase has been extended to 2215mm, an increase of 262mm, which is expected to improve rear passenger comfort.

The exterior design incorporates FAW Pentium's family styling, with a notable use of orange accents. The front features round headlights encircled by black trim. The body panels have smooth lines, and the door handles are semi-recessed.

For reference, the current two-door "Pentium Pony" is equipped with a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 41 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque. Battery options include 18.11 kWh or 16.97 kWh lithium iron phosphate units from Wuhan Chunan or CATL, respectively.
