F.A.Z. Institut and Cision Germany are honoring former BMW CEO Oliver Zipse and the company's communication team with the 2026 German Image Award. The award recognizes their role in maintaining corporate reputation during challenging times.

F.A.Z. Institut and Cision Germany have presented the 2026 German Image Award to Oliver Zipse, until May 2026 Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, and the company's communication team led by Maximilian Schöberl.
The award acknowledges their notably stable and consistent CEO communication, as well as the company's strategically sound positioning in a challenging market environment. For Maximilian Schöberl, this marks the second time his team has received such recognition for their work with the BMW Group.

Zipse began his career at BMW in 1991, progressing through leadership roles in production and manufacturing planning before assuming the CEO position.
The German Image Award highlights individuals and organizations that demonstrate exceptional ability in building and maintaining a positive corporate image, especially during periods of volatility. For BMW, this recognition underscores the company's resilience and communication strategy in a complex global landscape.
