Fazer sets 2030 targets for nutritional improvement
Fazer has launched its first group-wide nutrition commitment, focusing on five key dietary areas across all product categories by 2030.
Fazer has introduced a comprehensive nutrition commitment aimed at reshaping its product portfolio by 2030. The strategy focuses on five core pillars: increasing whole grain and fiber content, reducing salt and sugar levels, managing portion sizes, and introducing products with functional health benefits.
This commitment applies to all Fazer business units, allowing each to tailor its efforts to specific product portfolios while adhering to group-wide standards. The initiative also aligns the company with the nutritional commitments established by the Finnish Food and Drink Industries’ Federation.
The strategic shift addresses growing consumer demand for products that support health and well-being. By standardizing these nutritional targets, Fazer aims to formalize its product development process to better meet shifting market expectations.
