The tests evaluated various scenarios, including boot-up, restart, file decompression, development tools, office applications, image processing, and gaming. The results consistently showed Fedora leading Windows 11 in most categories.
Notably, Fedora Linux demonstrated faster restart times. The test also highlighted that Fedora utilizes less RAM in idle states compared to Windows 11, which consumed more memory under similar conditions. File decompression performance was particularly weaker on Windows 11's native file explorer, with a significant difference compared to using 7-Zip.
Furthermore, Fedora Linux showed superior performance when running development tools like Visual Studio Code. While Windows 11 had an edge in gaming benchmarks, Fedora Linux emerged as the faster system overall in a variety of common computing tasks.
