Fellowes and HVAKR Launch IAQP-Ready Solution for Ventilation Design
Fellowes and HVAKR have launched an integrated solution to simplify the application of Indoor Air Quality Procedures and reduce ventilation energy costs for engineers.

Itasca, Ill. – Fellowes, a provider of commercial air quality management systems, and HVAKR, a cloud-based mechanical engineering platform, have announced an integrated solution designed to simplify the application of the Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) within ASHRAE Standard 62.1.
The new workflow embeds IAQP calculations directly into HVAKR's engineering platform, integrating with Fellowes' IAQP-Ready Array air purification devices and a specially tested filter. This approach aims to provide engineers with a more streamlined method for evaluating, documenting, and specifying performance-based ventilation designs.
The solution enables project teams to assess compliance options, energy impacts, and HVAC sizing considerations earlier in the design phase, potentially influencing building performance and project costs. The integration seeks to make IAQP evaluation more accessible and defensible.
By facilitating the generation of supporting documentation, the system helps demonstrate how performance-based designs meet code requirements and building objectives. It also aims to identify opportunities for reducing unnecessary outdoor air intake and optimizing system sizing to achieve energy savings.
