Fenix Flexin Acknowledges AI Use in 'Rubberz' Track
Rapper Fenix Flexin appears to have confirmed the use of AI in his song 'Rubberz,' following claims by producer Medasin and the release of an AI detection tool.

Los Angeles rapper Fenix Flexin has seemingly acknowledged the use of artificial intelligence in the creation of his song 'Rubberz.' The admission follows accusations from producer Medasin, who claimed an AI tool named Treblo was employed in the track's production. Medasin supported his claims with videos demonstrating the AI's capabilities.
Further lending credence to the claims, the company behind Treblo released an AI detection tool that identified 'Rubberz' as an AI-generated song. The rapper's comments came in response to an Instagram post where a user noted Tyga's earlier admission of AI use on his album $tarface.
In his reply, Fenix Flexin stated, "never said I didn't use AI , i said it had nun to do w recording process . I didn't even know what da app was till we mixed." This suggests the AI's involvement was not in the core recording but potentially in other aspects of the music production, such as mastering or arrangement, which he reportedly only became aware of during the mixing stage.
The controversy highlights the increasing presence and evolving role of AI tools in the music industry. As AI technology advances, its application in music creation, from generating melodies to mastering tracks, is becoming more sophisticated and prevalent, raising questions about authorship and artistic integrity.
