Ferri Abolhassan appointed to Deutsche Telekom board to lead T-Systems
Deutsche Telekom’s supervisory board has named Ferri Abolhassan as the new head of T-Systems, effective January 1, 2024.
Ferri Abolhassan, 59, will join the Deutsche Telekom board of management to oversee T-Systems starting January 1, 2024. He succeeds Adel Al-Saleh, who is leaving the telecommunications group to become the CEO of satellite operator SES.
Abolhassan previously managed sales and service operations for Telekom Deutschland. With a career spanning over two decades in the IT sector, including leadership roles at SAP and Siemens, he brings extensive experience in digital transformation. Supervisory board chairman Frank Appel noted that Abolhassan’s background in cloud, security, and AI is key to his new mandate.
T-Systems, the group's enterprise IT arm, has focused its strategy on digitalization and growth in complex technology markets. The transition comes as the company continues to refine its service delivery model, aiming to maintain the operational continuity established under Al-Saleh’s tenure.
