Fewer Than 7% of Offshore Professionals Fear AI Will Harm Their Roles

A recent survey conducted by Sourcefit among nearly 2,000 employees in client-managed teams across more than 50 roles and 20 industries indicates that a vast majority of offshore professionals do not view artificial intelligence (AI) as a threat to their careers. Fewer than 7% of respondents expressed concerns about AI potentially harming their professional roles.
The study, which surveyed professionals in the Philippines, suggests a general perception of AI as a tool to boost productivity rather than a source of job insecurity. This viewpoint appears to be consistent across various industries and job functions represented in the survey.
Findings suggest that most offshore professionals believe AI can assist them in performing their duties more efficiently, automating routine tasks, and freeing up time for more complex and creative problem-solving. This optimistic outlook on AI could influence corporate decisions regarding the integration of new technologies into their operations.
