FIBO 2025 Achieves Record Attendance and Exhibition Space

FIBO 2025, held in Cologne from April 10-13, 2025, achieved record-breaking figures for attendance and exhibition space during its 40th anniversary. The event welcomed over 1,200 exhibitors and partners, attracting 154,748 visitors from 129 countries.
Silke Frank, Event Director of FIBO, stated that the strategic repositioning of the trade fair was highly successful, setting new standards in inspiring healthy and active living. The event underscored the health and fitness industry's strength, innovation, and societal relevance.
The health and fitness sector demonstrated substantial growth, with Germany alone reporting 11.71 million fitness club members and €5.82 billion in total sales. Across Europe, membership reached 71.6 million, with a market volume of €36 billion, highlighting the industry's economic weight and role in public health.
FIBO served as a crucial business platform, visualizing the dynamism and innovative power of international health and fitness markets. Michael Köhler, Managing Director at RX Deutschland, expressed confidence that FIBO will continue to drive the sector's growth and development.
Growing health awareness and the integration of fitness into younger generations' lifestyles are key growth drivers. The trade fair also facilitated discussions on future topics with policymakers, including Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva from the European Commission.
