FieldAI Seeks $700 Million in Funding at $10 Billion Valuation
Robotics company FieldAI is raising $700 million in funding at a $10 billion valuation. The company is developing a "universal brain" for various robot types.
Robotics company FieldAI is reportedly raising $700 million in a funding round that would value the company at $10 billion. This potential valuation represents a fivefold increase in just over a year, following a previous round that valued the company at $2 billion.
FieldAI is developing a software platform it describes as a "general universal brain." The aim is to enable a wide array of robots, including humanoid robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles, to operate independently in uncertain real-world environments. Founded in 2023, the company has attracted notable investors such as Jeff Bezos's family office and Laurene Powell Jobs's Emerson Collective.
The funding round underscores growing investor interest in "physical AI," artificial intelligence systems capable of acting in the real world. FieldAI's valuation now approaches that of competitors like Physical Intelligence, valued at approximately $11 billion, and Skild AI, valued at over $14 billion.
The company states its revenue and customer orders have grown rapidly, exceeding $135 million. FieldAI recruits talent from major tech firms including Google DeepMind and Tesla, and its clients include businesses in construction, data centers, and defense.
