Fiji Airways joins oneworld airline alliance
Fiji Airways has officially joined the oneworld airline alliance as a full member. The move expands the alliance's global network and offers enhanced benefits to customers.
Fiji Airways has officially become a full member of the oneworld alliance, effective April 1, 2025. This expansion brings the alliance's network further into the South Pacific.
As a new member, Fiji Airways will provide its top-tier customers with a full suite of oneworld benefits. These include access to over 700 airport lounges worldwide, priority services for check-in and boarding, and the ability to earn and redeem miles and status points.
"The introduction of Fiji Airways marks an important strategic step for our alliance, connecting even more people, places, and experiences," stated Nat Pieper, CEO of oneworld. Fiji Airways operates from its hub at Nadi International Airport, serving 25 destinations in 14 countries and territories. The airline integrates more deeply into the oneworld network, which includes hubs in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney, and Dallas-Fort Worth.
Furthermore, Fiji Airways has adopted American Airlines' AAdvantage program as its frequent flyer program. This allows the airline's most frequent travelers to enjoy oneworld benefits as AAdvantage members. Fiji Airways' subsidiary, Fiji Link, joins the alliance as an affiliate, expanding its reach with domestic services across Fiji and regional connections. The airline has received multiple accolades for its quality, including a five-star rating from APEX.
