Finanz Informatik Promotes Employee Well-being Through Cycling Initiative

Finanz Informatik GmbH & Co. KG is actively encouraging employee well-being and team cohesion through its established cycling program. The initiative caters to various interests, offering virtual training sessions indoors during colder months and organized outdoor rides as weather permits. Participants are welcome to join with road bikes, mountain bikes, or gravel bikes.

The company's cycling division, co-founded by employees like Günther Schramm, has a history of fostering a sense of community. Wolfgang Drees, a long-time cyclist, highlights the enjoyment of group rides and the opportunity to experience scenic landscapes. Events like a planned cross-location training camp in Mallorca aim to further strengthen team spirit and create shared experiences.

Finanz Informatik employees have participated in several notable cycling events, including Stadtradeln, Tour D’Energie Göttingen, Eschborn-Frankfurt, and Rad am Ring. In a recent Stadtradeln campaign, 235 employees cycled over 55,000 kilometers, contributing to a reduction of nearly 10 tons of CO2 emissions. The company also offers a €50 subsidy for members participating in the Münsterlandgiro race.

The cycling program is designed to be inclusive, welcoming all employees regardless of their experience level. By combining physical activity with social interaction, Finanz Informatik aims to enhance team dynamics and promote a positive work environment. These collective activities provide opportunities for employees to connect with colleagues they might not otherwise meet, enriching their overall experience at the company.
