Fingersoft marks 10th anniversary of Hill Climb Racing 2
Finnish developer Fingersoft is celebrating a decade of Hill Climb Racing 2 with a month-long series of in-game events and content updates.
Oulu-based game developer Fingersoft has launched a series of events to mark the 10th anniversary of its mobile title, Hill Climb Racing 2. Throughout November, the developer is introducing new gameplay modes, tracks, and rewards to commemorate the game's release in 2016.
The anniversary program features weekly themes, including new adventure tracks like 'The Great Below' and 'The Climb,' alongside events focused on the game's history and seasonal rewards. The interface has also been updated with new assets and animations to reflect the milestone.
Since its launch, Hill Climb Racing 2 has been updated repeatedly to incorporate new social elements and vehicle variety based on player feedback. CEO Teemu Närhi stated that the studio's focus on gameplay quality has been essential to maintaining engagement in a competitive market.
Product marketing manager Otto Simola noted that the challenge over the last decade has been balancing innovation with the core mechanics that defined the original experience. The anniversary content is currently available on iOS and Android platforms.
