Fingersoft marks tenth anniversary of Hill Climb Racing 2
Finnish developer Fingersoft is observing the tenth anniversary of its mobile game Hill Climb Racing 2 with a month-long series of in-game events.
Fingersoft has launched a series of updates for its mobile title, Hill Climb Racing 2, to commemorate the game's decade of operation. Since its initial release in 2016, the game has remained a core asset for the Finnish studio, maintaining an active player base through consistent content updates.
Throughout November, the developer will roll out weekly thematic content, starting with the addition of two adventure tracks, 'The Great Below' and 'The Climb.' The latter introduces a modified game mode designed to adjust the standard progression loop. Subsequent weeks will feature event-based content and additional digital rewards aimed at player retention.
This anniversary milestone highlights the ongoing trend of 'games-as-a-service' models in mobile gaming, where developers rely on sustained engagement rather than single-release cycles. Fingersoft continues to leverage this strategy to extend the lifecycle of its established titles in a competitive mobile market.
