Finland and Sweden Order Patria TRACKX Tracked Vehicles

Finland and Sweden have made significant procurement decisions regarding the TRACKX tracked vehicles developed by Patria Plc. Finland will acquire the vehicles along with associated sustainment arrangements, and a letter of intent has been signed for potential future series deliveries. Sweden, in turn, is acquiring the vehicles for testing and evaluation purposes.

Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2027, after which both nations will conduct national field trials to assess the vehicles' operational suitability. Part of the testing is intended to be carried out as bilateral cooperation.

Patria states that the transition from development to procurement is a significant step for the TRACKX vehicle. The company anticipates strong international interest and aims to begin deliveries to other client countries in the same year.

The procurement decisions follow an executive agreement signed between the Finnish Defence Forces and Sweden's Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) at the Eurosatory exhibition in June 2026. The TRACKX vehicle has been developed as part of the European Defence Fund (EDF) supported FAMOUS project, offering ballistic protection and suitability for demanding terrain conditions.
