Finnair Extends Amadeus Partnership for NDC Offer Distribution
Finnair has extended its distribution agreement with Amadeus to provide NDC-sourced offers to travel sellers worldwide. The new content will be integrated into the Amadeus Travel Platform starting in Q3 2022, alongside existing EDIFACT content.

Finnair has strengthened its distribution partnership with technology provider Amadeus to expand the reach of its NDC-enabled offers to travel sellers globally. The Finnish airline will begin distributing new content sourced through the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard via the Amadeus Travel Platform later in the third quarter of 2022.
This extension builds upon a previous agreement from 2019, which saw Finnair integrate Altéa NDC with the Amadeus Travel Platform. The updated collaboration aims to accelerate Finnair's NDC distribution strategy and support the broader industry's shift towards enhanced retailing.
Travel sellers will be able to access Finnair's NDC content through their usual booking environments, including Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, Amadeus Travel APIs, and Amadeus Cytric Travel & Expense. This integration is intended to enable sellers to more easily search, shop, and service Finnair's offerings, providing travelers with greater choice.
The airline aims to distribute all its content and fares through NDC by the end of 2025. As of July 2022, Amadeus reported that over 14,000 travel sellers across 68 markets already have access to NDC-enabled content through its platform.
