Finnair Group Reports Strong Performance in Second Quarter
Finnair Group's revenue increased by 16.4% and comparable operating result improved significantly in the second quarter of 2026. The airline reported strong financial performance.
Finnair Group reported a strong financial performance for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026. The airline’s revenue rose by 16.4% to 916.7 million euros, up from 787.7 million euros in the same period last year.
The comparable operating result significantly improved to 78.4 million euros, compared to 10.3 million euros in the prior year. Finnair noted that industrial action negatively impacted the comparable operating result by approximately 29 million euros in the second quarter of 2025. The total operating result was 86.6 million euros, an increase from 19.2 million euros in the previous year.
Earnings per share stood at 0.28 euros, up from 0.06 euros. Net cash flow from operating activities was 182.6 million euros, indicating robust operational cash generation.
The airline's improved results reflect a recovering travel market and its strategic operational adjustments. This strong second-quarter performance provides a positive outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year.
