Finnfund Provides $15 Million Loan to Vietnam's EVF
Finnfund has signed a $15 million senior loan agreement with EVF General Finance JSC in Vietnam. The funding will support women-led businesses and the country's green transition.

Finnish development financier Finnfund has signed a $15 million senior loan agreement with EVF General Finance JSC, a non-bank financial institution in Vietnam. The financing is intended to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam, with a particular focus on women-led businesses and the country's green transition.
EVF provides financing solutions to SMEs and corporate clients and has a growing focus on green lending. By expanding access to finance for underserved businesses, EVF contributes to financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth in Vietnam. Finnfund stated that the financing supports both financial inclusion and inclusive economic growth.
"We are delighted to support EVF, a strong partner for expanding access to finance for SMEs in Vietnam, particularly women-led businesses. Advancing gender equality is a key priority for Finnfund," said Antti Partanen, Investment Manager at Finnfund.
The loan strengthens EVF's long-term funding base and supports its continued development. The agreement also reflects EVF's progress in strengthening its environmental and social management practices and expanding collaboration with international financial institutions. Finnfund believes EVF is well-positioned to channel more financing towards sustainable growth in Vietnam, particularly in renewable energy and energy efficiency investments.
