Fintech startup axiTrust in talks for $5 million funding round
India-based axiTrust is reportedly seeking $5 million in Series A funding to expand its digital surety bond infrastructure.

Fintech startup axiTrust is reportedly in negotiations to secure $5 million in Series A funding. The investment round is expected to be led by Singapore-based Argor.vc, with existing investor General Catalyst also participating.
Founded in 2024 by Aditya Tulsian, Rajeev Chari, and Mukund Daga, axiTrust provides digital surety bonds designed to replace collateral-heavy bank guarantees. By utilizing insurance-backed guarantees rather than locked-in cash collateral, the startup aims to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in managing their working capital more efficiently.
The capital infusion is intended to scale the company's digital infrastructure and AI-based risk assessment tools. This push comes at a time when the Indian fintech sector is seeing significant investor interest in lending-tech solutions that offer alternatives to traditional banking products.
This follows a $2.6 million seed funding round led by General Catalyst last year. While the company has not yet provided official comment on the new round, market observers note that such services address significant liquidity constraints for businesses in the region.
