Firefox Browser Updates "Smart Window" with Privacy-Focused AI Features
Mozilla's Firefox browser has updated its "Smart Window" mode, integrating AI tools to organize browsing history and enhance information retrieval. The feature emphasizes user privacy and content organization.

Mozilla has updated its Firefox browser with enhancements to its "Smart Window" feature. The update introduces AI-powered functionalities aimed at organizing user browsing history and improving information retrieval directly within the browser.
The "Smart Window" now allows users to access webpage information through the browser's AI chat interface. It can also automatically suggest grouping related tabs based on browsing content. Furthermore, the feature identifies and closes duplicate tabs, helping users manage and track their online activities more effectively.
In contrast to some AI-driven browsers that focus on proactive content generation, Firefox's approach with "Smart Window" is centered on organizing the user's existing browsing history. The AI assistant, Exa, is designed to include source citations for the information it provides, reinforcing the tool's utility.
Looking ahead, Mozilla plans to introduce additional features to Firefox, including a function for displaying recent browsing history sessions, similar to a feature in Chrome, and AI-based automatic form filling capabilities for online forms.
