Fireside Project to Develop Practitioner Course Using Donated Beckley Academy Content
Fireside Project will adapt training content donated by Beckley Academy into a self-paced online course for psychedelic therapy practitioners. The course is slated for release in 2027 and will include simulation modules.

Fireside Project plans to develop a new self-paced online course for psychedelic therapy practitioners, utilizing training content donated by Beckley Academy. The San Francisco-based organization will adapt three established courses gifted by Beckley Academy, incorporating experiential modules from its Lucy simulation platform.
The new course, targeted for release in 2027, will draw upon Beckley Academy's focus on relational, ethical, and culturally responsive care. The integrated Lucy modules are designed to allow learners to practice conversations with simulated clients, serving as a complement to supervised practical experience.
Joshua White, founder and executive director of Fireside Project, stated that the donation provides a strong foundation for the organization's practitioner training. He emphasized the importance of skill and compassion in supporting individuals during vulnerable experiences. Fireside Project trains volunteers for its free Psychedelic Support Line and developed Lucy to help practitioners rehearse challenging interactions.
Rock Feilding-Mellen, co-founder of Beckley Academy, noted that their courses emphasize the relationship between practitioner and client. He expressed satisfaction that the donation will help Fireside Project advance this teaching. Fireside Project will provide further details on the course curriculum and enrollment as development progresses.
