First Challenger 650 business jet enters service in Mexico

Bombardier Business Aircraft has announced the entry into service of the first Challenger 650 aircraft to be registered and operated in Mexico. This delivery expands the company’s regional footprint, as Bombardier currently operates a fleet of approximately 550 aircraft across Latin America, with Mexico accounting for roughly 200 of those units.

Stéphane Leroy, Regional Vice President for Latin America, stated that the aircraft is well-suited for high-altitude airports like Toluca, citing its performance capabilities and cabin space as key factors for regional operators. The Challenger 650, which has been in production since 2015, features updated engine thrust and integrated flight deck technology.

The Challenger series currently holds over 40 percent of the market share in its category within Latin America. Following a market forecast published by Bombardier, industry observers anticipate sustained demand for business aviation in the region through 2025.
