First Responders Children's Foundation awards 19 heroes at New York event

The First Responders Children's Foundation hosted its seventh annual Roll Call of Heroes ceremony on October 28 in New York City's Times Square. The event recognized 19 emergency responders from across the United States, each receiving a 'Hero of Honor' medal for their contributions to public safety.

Hosted by Jon Stewart and supported by T-Mobile, the ceremony highlighted individuals across various emergency disciplines, including police, fire, and emergency medical services. The awards serve to acknowledge those who have demonstrated significant commitment while performing their duties.

The event coincides with the National First Responders Day. The foundation focuses on providing financial assistance, scholarships, and mental health support to the families of first responders who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.
