Fitbit Founders Launch Luffu Link Health Bracelet for Families

Luffu, a health tracking system launched by Fitbit co-founders James Park and Eric Friedman, has released its first hardware product, the Luffu Link bracelet. This health wearable is designed for managing the health of an entire family, integrating activity monitoring with emergency alert capabilities.

The Luffu Link aims to serve as a centralized platform for family health data. It aggregates information from healthcare providers, activity data from wearables, medication and appointment schedules, and user-logged details on everything from meals to emotions. Utilizing artificial intelligence, the system learns user patterns and offers proactive insights and alerts.

According to James Park, the Luffu Link acts as a family "command center," integrating health and safety information. The system highlights the most urgent matters requiring family attention. The concept originated from Park and Friedman's personal experiences managing the health of aging parents and other family members, often residing in different locations.

Currently in public beta testing, the Luffu Link is available for pre-order at $249.99, with shipments expected in early 2027. The bracelet passively tracks activity, sleep, and heart rate. It also includes voice commands for data entry and an emergency button, echoing the functionality of the historic Life Alert device.
