FL Studio's AI Gopher now executes music production tasks

Image Line's music production software FL Studio has introduced a significant enhancement to its Gopher AI feature. The updated Gopher chatbot can now execute user-specified music production tasks directly, moving beyond its previous role as an instructional guide.
According to Image Line, Gopher can now generate drum patterns, such as a four-on-the-floor kick with snares on the backbeat, and apply effects like 80s-style gated reverb to the snare, based on user commands. This functionality aims to streamline the music creation process for users.
This evolution from a purely informational tool to an action-executing assistant is designed to offer a more integrated workflow. Users can now request specific sonic elements and effects, which Gopher is programmed to implement within the FL Studio environment.
While Gopher demonstrates advanced capabilities, certain limitations remain. It cannot, for instance, create complex automation or directly input musical notes. Image Line continues development to expand Gopher's feature set in future updates.
