Flipkart Launches Standalone App for Quick Commerce Service Minutes

E-commerce giant Flipkart has launched a standalone mobile app for its quick commerce delivery service, Minutes. The application is currently in beta and has been made available to select users, with verification confirming its presence in limited pockets of Delhi NCR via the Google Play Store.

The Minutes app claims to offer "zero platform fees" and free deliveries on orders exceeding ₹99. The service includes products such as kitchen staples, fruits, and gourmet items, alongside discounts across key categories.

This move follows closely behind Flipkart's pilot of its food delivery service, Eat In, among its employees in Bengaluru. The Walmart-owned company reportedly aims to extend this service to all employees by September 15, prior to a consumer launch in Bengaluru.

Flipkart previously stated in June that its Minutes service had expanded to over 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers across 130 cities and more than 8,000 pin codes. The company had expressed plans to scale the network further to 1,500 centers in 180 cities.
