Flipkart Minutes Enters Premium Grocery Segment With Pykd Brand
Walmart-owned Flipkart Minutes is launching premium grocery and specialty food products under its own brand, Pykd. The initial pilot will take place in Bengaluru.

Walmart-owned Flipkart Minutes, the e-commerce giant's quick commerce arm, is expanding into the premium grocery and specialty food products market with its new private label brand, Pykd. The Pykd range will include items such as cheese, coffee, noodles, kombucha, ramen, ghee, and oils, alongside Indian snacks and chips. Flipkart Minutes also plans to onboard third-party premium brands to enhance its gourmet offerings.
The Pykd brand is set to pilot first in Bengaluru. This move aligns with broader market trends, as gourmet offerings are gaining traction among consumers. Competitors like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart have already introduced their own premium labels, such as Gourmet, Select, and Noice, respectively.
Flipkart Minutes has been investing in its logistics infrastructure, stating it operates 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers across 130 cities, serving over 8,000 pincodes. The company aims to expand this network to 1,500 centers in 180 cities in the coming months.
The food and grocery e-commerce category is projected for significant growth, with an expected compound annual growth rate of 28% between 2026 and 2031, according to Inc42 Datalabs. This expansion into premium segments reflects a strategy to capture a growing consumer base seeking high-quality, specialized food items.
